West Ham come off the back of a big win in midweek, bringing a bit of feel good factor around the place. This game is a 6 pointer though, let’s make no bones about it. This one is a relegation battle, and both teams are ready to go to war. When Birmingham play at home they are amazing, only losing twice at St Andrews this season, but they’ve had only one win on the road. Realistically, West Ham have to win this one having played two games more than the blues, but are on the same points, so it’s hard to call. There’s a lot at stake. After the Carling Cup and previous league games it is too close to call.
Betto’s Bet: It’s a big shout, but Birmingham win
Bar a country mile, this one is the biggest game of the weekend. Not for the historical reasons like the fight for the top four, but because of the big story of the week, Fernando Torres. It could be debut time for Torres and what a way to make it. Liverpool come off the back of a solid win in midweek and also the hysteria that was the parading of new signings and it doesn’t look like the hype is going to die down. Liverpool are digging in now, working hard for every point and there is no doubt they are going to try to make this as scrappy as possible. Liverpool are off the back of three wins, will it be time for the resurgence to stop?
Betto’s Big One: Chelsea win, but it would be two fingers up at Torres if they lost! Outside bet of a Torres goal
