I dont think there was malice in it, it was clumsy. Stepped on the ankle rather than just hooking it. The Blackpool one was nasty.As far as Bale, diving for avoidance is all well and good. The problem with that theory is that he seems to be "avoiding" a lot in and around the penalty area nowadays. Mostly for challenges that don't seem to have an injury risk attached to them.I'd be nice for players / managers from all teams to condemn their own kind for diving.
