Champions League to Copa Libertadores: Who would you choose in your Europe XI vs World XI?

How many times have you found yourselves talking to your mates down the pub, at the football or in the office desperately trying to convince them that Bastian Schweinsteiger is better than Juan Mata?

How often have you told your dad that, if you were in charge of an hypothetical European All Stars team, Rooney’s chances of making the starting XI would be slimmer than Roger Federer’s chances to winning Wimbledon this year – for the non tennis fans Federer is already out – causing your old man to completely disagree with you?

Football has never embraced having an all European XI facing a Rest of the World XI in real life, unless one counts some half hearted approaches in the world of video games and the occasional charity match or Messi & Friends – none of which get anything more from Fans than the interaction of buying a ticket and turning up for the game.

Imagine FIFA’s ultimate teams in the flesh slugging it out against each other after a global fans have selected the squads – it would be rather good, wouldn’t it?

Well now, thanks to Fans All Star (FAS) you have the opportunity to select both teams (11 starters plus four subs per team) as well as entering a draw to win £50,000.

The process is as straightforward as it sounds. Simply log onto the website, register your details and pick the players you think are the pick of the crop in the Old Continent and abroad.

Think that sounds easy? Well it is, but it really isn’t as we have now spent several hours in heated debate as to who will make the cut for the Football Rascal team’s.

                 Subs Europe:

              Subs Rest of the World:

Who would make your team? Start the debate below or get over to and get voting. Remember, you can follow the Rascal on Facebook and Twitter for a daily dose of the best football has to offer.
